I started the South Charlotte Playgroup when my first son was three months old. I needed some mom-friends! Boy, did I ever find some and some fabulous ones at that. I credit most everything I’ve learned to these ladies. What I didn’t learn from my friends, I’ve learned from my boys. They’ve opened my heart, my mind, and my wallet.
Charlotte Mom Favorites was started in 2010 as way to share my experiences and tips that I’ve learned along the way. I hope you enjoy my tales of parenthood. And, keep in mind – I’m no expert. I’m just a gal, who married a boy, who gave me two more boys. Let’s laugh and learn together. Thanks for stopping by!
The First Dude, Jon
This is Jon. You may find me referring to him as Jonnie, Hubby Harding, or the man that can’t find the dishwasher to save his life. Sorry, hon. The truth’s the truth. He puts up with me, and for that I’ll love him forever. He’s a great dad and works in technology for a local bank. He also rides bikes. Obsessively. He's often asking me, "Is this going to be in the blog?" The most common answer is, "Yes."
The Second Dude, Graham
This is my first-born, the guinea pig. Fortunately, I think the experiment has turned out well so far. Wouldn’t you agree? Graham sings, dances, and plays with Green Bear. We're working on the fundamentals of catching and throwing a ball. Graham LOVES his brother. How awesome is that?
The Third Dude, Will
Will is and forever will be the baby of the family. In fact, we call him Baby Will. I wonder if he’ll get tired of that when he’s 13? He’s a rambunctious little guy that has found his independence early on. I think I’m in trouble with this one!
The Modern Grandma
You can call her Cindy, which is how the rest of the world refers to her. Cindy, my momma, is the other lady of the blog, and another frequent female companion at the dinner table. She lives in Charlotte, a short fifteen minutes from my home. She’s the main reason my husband and I get date nights! Woo hoo for Grandmas! Cindy is also a Realtor for Allen Tate. You’ll find her frequently guest blogging on CMF, offering her perspective from the Grandma side of things.
